Lavon Lacey – Founder, Quantum Artists

Lavon Lacey fell in love with show business as a freshman in high school when he shared the stage with President Jimmy Carter’s niece, Kim, in Saint Joan at the local college. That moment sparked a lifelong journey in the entertainment industry, where Lavon has made thousands of appearances in film, television, corporate videos, print ads, stage productions, and personal appearances. He brought to life beloved characters such as Elvis, Priscilla the Pig for Rich’s, and Smokey the Bear.

Lavon’s professional career began even before he graduated college, when he joined a new ABC affiliate in Valdosta, Georgia. There, he learned the television business from the ground up—working in sales, production, and eventually hosting his first television show. His passion led him to Atlanta, where he continued his media career with Channel 36 and then as an award-winning salesperson at FOX 97 radio, owned by the Roy Disney family. During this time, he proudly served as President of the Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club.

Returning to his first love—film and television—Lavon became Executive Producer at Karmavision Films, producing commercials and corporate videos. Throughout the 1980s and beyond, he continued performing while also building Lavon Lacey Entertainment, and later, Quantum Events and Entertainment, creating award-winning live experiences and booking talent he had cultivated over the years.

As the entertainment arm of Houghton Talent and People Store/Formation for over 20 years, Lavon booked actors and entertainers across the globe. His latest venture, Quantum Artists, is the culmination of a lifetime spent on both sides of the camera and the stage. With Atlanta rapidly emerging as a global hub for film and television, Lavon is uniquely positioned to elevate and export the extraordinary talent of the Southeast.

Beyond the spotlight, Lavon has been committed to service and community. He has delivered meals for Open Hand Atlanta for over 29 years, is now in his fifth year as a film selector for the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, volunteer parade marshal and shares a vibrant life with his husband Juan and their beloved pets: Sophie, Kiki, Tommy, Rosita, Plushy, Pepe, and Charlie.
